want to share with you this vision of mine about
Palazzo Ducale in Venice...

I made it as usual in watercolor on 50 years old paper
that is why it looks already old

didn't know it could be so effective on the painting

this paper was buried who knows where in my ant library
for sure it was used from her in univerisity time long time ago
anyway it is fun to try to paint on this kind not really totally made for watercolors

i hope you like it

hi everyone,
today i post 2 paintings,
they have nothing in common, one is about a landscape in wintertime,
the other about Panama...

My bro asked  me to produce some paintings about Panama, so i started to do it
my effort was much, not sure about the result anyway, i will show you more paintings
if my ispiration doesn't drop me down.

let's start:

nothing to say , i saw a nice  picture and i made the paintings in watercolors of course!!
i noticed the true about complementary colours and how they make the paining to look brighter and full of life

what about this pink panama?

ice cream

...today it's another story

let's talk about ice cream:

a little story directly from wilkiepedia
When Italian duchess Catherine de' Medici married the Duke of Orléans (Henry II of France) in 1533, she is said to have brought with her to France some Italian chefs who had recipes for flavoured ices or sorbets.[11] One hundred years later, Charles I of England was, it was reported, so impressed by the "frozen snow" that he offered his own ice cream maker a lifetime pension in return for keeping the formula secret, so that ice cream could be a royal prerogative.[12] There is no historical evidence to support these legends, which first appeared during the 19th century.
The first recipe in French for flavoured ices appears in 1674, in Nicholas Lemery’s Recueil de curiositéz rares et nouvelles de plus admirables effets de la nature.[11] Recipes for sorbetti saw publication in the 1694 edition of Antonio Latini's Lo Scalco alla Moderna (The Modern Steward).[11] Recipes for flavoured ices begin to appear in François Massialot's Nouvelle Instruction pour les Confitures, les Liqueurs, et les Fruits, starting with the 1692 edition. Massialot's recipes result in a coarse, pebbly texture. Latini claims that the results of his recipes should have the fine consistency of sugar and snow.[11]
Ice cream recipes first appeared in 18th-century England. The recipe for ice cream was published in Mrs. Mary Eales's Receipts in London in 1718.[13][14]

Social class view?

I chose 2 painters very different from each other. Both loving this land (Tuscany)
in a very deep way.
But as you can see from the paintings they have different eyes on watching it
cause John Singer Sargent even if born in Florence cannot be considered an italian painter,
more an european painter and at least an american painter, looks and gets the epic artistic
accademic side..while Telemaco Signorini one of the best italian impressionist "macchiaioli"
catches the intimate part..

which one you feel closer to you?
not a question about what is the best just about your sensitiveness

where to  paint at plain air

i give you just little tips where to find good places
in tuscany where to paint plain air.
Usually in the countryside the cementeries are small
and on top of hills, with cypresses all around.
Especially in the morning not very much visited ( well
that is in general) so you can have a great view from
these places and a loto of privacy.

these are 2 photos i took from Marcialla cementery
a little village in the chianti fiorentino... a lovely place
